Job Description:As a Patient Experience Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that every patient interaction is characterized by empathy, responsiveness, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. Your primary focus will be to establish positive relationships with patients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and needs effectively, and leaving a lasting, positive impression.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Interact with patients through various communication channels, including phone, email, and virtual, and provide them with a friendly, empathetic, and professional experience.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Manage patient appointments, coordinate scheduling, and ensure seamless communication between patients and our healthcare team.
  • Complaint Resolution: Act as a point of contact for patients with concerns or complaints, addressing their issues promptly, and working to find satisfactory solutions.
  • Educational Support: Provide patients with information regarding their equipment.
  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including contact information and insurance details.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all privacy and healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to guarantee a smooth patient journey.Requirements:
    • Previous customer service experience, particularly in durable medical equipment or medical setting, is preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Empathy and patience in dealing with patients and their concerns.
    • Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
    • Detail-oriented and organized, problem-solving abilities.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, basic understanding of healthcare processes and insurance is a plus.
    • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is beneficial.
